This Portland Dutch Colonial built in 1924 did not have a bathroom on the main level and had one bathroom upstairs, which all 3 occupants would share. A bathroom structure or tower was added in place of an existing enclosed rear porch. This 2-story octagonal shaped tower includes additional storage in the basement, a half bathroom on the main level and a full bathroom on the second floor. Not only did this add the needed bathing requirements for this family but also changed the flow of the main level from a dead-end configuration to a circular pathway.
