Located in the Dunthorpe neighborhood of the SW hills in Portland, Oregon, this house built in the 1970s was rundown and not well maintained leading the new owner to choose to give this home a major remodel. The challenge of this major remodel was to keep just enough of the original home while reconfiguring the spaces into an open floor plan for the “public” spaces and enclosed in the more “private” spaces such as bedrooms.
