As an architect, returning to the tactile roots of drawing and painting has reawakened a sense of creative directness and discovery in the last few years. Working from the human form through life drawing, continually sketching while traveling and now exploring the rich textures of oil and cold wax painting, each practice invites a renewed engagement with observation, material and place. This personal journey bridges my architectural background and artistic instincts, allowing me to capture fleeting moments, shifting light and intricate forms- whether in a travel sketchbook or on a textured canvas.

Artistic Evolution

Transitioning from structured blueprints to expressive mark-making, my artistic process now embraces spontaneity and intimate study. Life drawing has rekindled an appreciation for gestural sketches and travel sketching has helped me break down large chunks of information and focus on the most important narrative in the everyday.

New Media, Fresh Perspective

The shift to oil and cold wax painting adds a new dimension- inviting tactile exploration and layering that echoes both the precision of architecture and the intuitive freedom of art. Each work is both a record of place and a meditation on form, anchored in the rigors of design and liberated by the experimentation of painting.

Connecting the Past and Present

Reconnecting with these foundational practices deepens my understanding as both creator and observer, shaping not just artworks but the way I see and design the world around me. Through this evolving journey, I invite viewers to share in moments of pause, curiosity and emotional transformation.
